We are a furniture house in Kolkata, and we have spent more than twenty-five years caring about the things most people never notice.
Why we exist
Furniture had become a product.
Chosen from a catalogue, delivered in a box, made to fit nobody in particular. We thought a home, and the people living in it, deserved better.
The atelier was founded on a simple idea: that furniture should be made for one room and one client, by people who are answerable for every part of it. So we brought the whole process inside. We design it, we engineer it, we make it, we upholster it and we install it.
Today we make for homes, offices, retail and hospitality. The scale has changed. The idea has not.
Philosophy
Designed to endure.
Quiet luxury is not a style to us. It is a way of working. It means choosing the better hinge that nobody will see, matching the grain on the inside of a door, and finishing the back of a cabinet as carefully as the front.
It means saying no to shortcuts that would never be noticed, because we would know. A piece that leaves our workshop should be as good in twenty years as it is on the day it arrives, and should feel better every time it is used.

The workshop
Design studio, production floor, finishing room and upholstery room under one roof. Nothing is outsourced that we can do better ourselves, which is why we can answer for all of it.
The machines
Precision cutting, edge-banding and CNC machining give us accuracy that the hand alone cannot repeat, panel after panel. The machine sets the tolerance. It does not set the standard.
The craftsmen
Carpenters, polishers and upholsterers who have spent their working lives at the bench. They judge what a machine cannot: the run of a grain, the feel of an edge, the tension of a seam.
Quality control
Every piece is assembled, checked and signed off in the workshop before it is allowed to leave. If something is a millimetre out, it is made again.
